Gaming Monitor List – Complete and Always Updated

Looking for a high refresh rate gaming monitor?

You’re in luck.

This is the ultimate list. It has the technical specs of all currently available 120Hz-plus monitors for July 2019 and soon-to-be-released ones also. Listed below are all the 120Hz, 144Hz, 160Hz, 165Hz, 180Hz, 200Hz, and 240Hz monitors in the world.

Since their introduction, 120Hz monitors have been slowly discontinued with 144Hz monitors now being the most popular ones out there and there are even some out-of-the-box overclockable monitors. Many of those listed have an adaptive sync technology integrated into them – either NVIDIA G-Sync monitors or AMD FreeSync monitors – to deal with screen tearing and stuttering.

Most usually are 1080p monitors or 1440p monitors while a few widescreen 21:9 monitors carry a 2560 x 1080 resolution. There are numerous panel types listed including TN, IPS, VA and OLED.

In addition, some manufacturers such as Acer are beginning to include eye tracking technology like that of Tobii.

120Hz monitor list

The majority of 120Hz monitors have been discontinued and 144Hz monitors are becoming the new standard in the market. The EIZO FG2421-BK is marketed as being capable of 240Hz, but this is a marketing gimmick as it doesn’t actually function at 240Hz and instead uses a 120Hz input signal.

EIZO FORIS FG242123.5"1920 x 1080VA-1ms

144Hz monitor list

Most 144Hz monitors currently on the market are sold in either 24 or 27 inches and in the 1080p (Full HD) and 1440p (Wide Quad HD) resolutions. When checking out a monitor be sure you know its pixel density for the best image quality.

The majority are equipped with IPS or TN display panels with the TN panels being the most popular and affordable. Depending on your priorities one of the two will be more appropriate for you. There’s also a number of VA panels, but these are far less common.

Some monitors have adaptive sync technology such as NVIDIA’s G-Sync or AMD’s FreeSync included in them and which you prefer will affect your budget. This technology prevents screen tearing and stuttering by synchronizing the monitor’s refresh rate with your graphics card’s frame rate.
