BenQ Zowie XL2411: 144Hz 24-inch 1080p Gaming Monitor

The BenQ Zowie XL2411 is one the first monitors released by BenQ after its acquisition of the e-sport gaming brand Zowie. The company has announced that all future e-sport monitors would carry the Zowie name. We can likely expect rebranded versions of all of BenQ’s existing professional gaming monitors. The monitor is identical both in terms of specs and looks to the BenQ XL2411Z. This means that this release is largely a strategic marketing decision than anything.

The Zowie XL2411 has a 1080p resolution and a 24-inch monitor size meaning that there’s a pixel density of 92 PPI, in line with other gaming monitors out there. The display is a TN panel with a brightness of 350cd/m2 and 1000:1 static contrast ratio. All of which are standard specs nowadays. Unfortunately no adaptive sync technology like that of NVIDIA’s G-Sync or AMD’s FreeSync has been include in the Zowie XL2411.

To compensate for the monitor’s rather lackluster specs, a few special features have been included. Among them is the Black eQualizer feature that brightens up certain parts of the screen when appropriate to make it easier to spot enemies quicker. The Low Blue Light and Flicker-free‎ features are a godsend for anyone who spend many hours gaming as it translates to less eyestrain. Another peculiar feature is that the inner part of the monitor’s bezel has been specifically designed to remove light reflection and as result any possible distractions.

The Zowie XL2411 is VESA mount compatible meaning if the stand isn’t to your liking then you can easily swap it with another one. Ergonomically, the monitor is height, swivel, pivot, and tilt adjustable.

Possible options for graphical inputs includes D-sub, DVI-DL, and HDMI. There is also an input for your headphones, but unfortunately no USB inputs.
