AOC has announced that this year the AGON premium line of gaming monitors will begin unrolling. The company says that ten monitors – both IPS and TN panels – belonging to this line will be released. The new series will have standard and curved models and will include NVIDIA G-Sync or AMD FreeSync technology. All will include Flicker Free technology that AOC has developed over the years.
The TN panel variants will sport a typical response time of 1 ms while the IPS types will have a significantly higher time. All monitors will have a refresh rate of 144 Hz or higher. Features that all monitors will have include height-adjustability, speakers, and USB 3.0 ports. AGON monitor sizes will range from 24″ 16:9 to 35″ 21:9 ultra-wide while monitor resolutions from Full HD (1080p) up to Ultra HD (4K) meaning that excellent pixel density could be in store for us. In terms of aesthetics, the monitors will utilize premium materials and give the monitors a sophisticated appearance. The monitors will begin going on sale in June of this year.
